Why do my arms and chest burn when I cough or sneeze?

So tonight I started coughing to the point of throwing up but while I was coughing my arms and chest started to sting/burn. This only last a few moments and was worse when I was coughing. A few hours pass and I sneeze and I get the same burning/stinging sensation. What's is this.

Hello~I am so sorry you are having this discomfort. It sounds to me like you may have a mild case of pleurisy, this is inflammation of the lungs and it can cause the burning in your chest. I suggest seeing your GP and describing the pain to him/her as well, a prescription will probably be ordered and this should clear up the issues.

I hope you feel better soon.
