You might want to look up Fibromyalgia and see if the symptoms fit yours....
So similar - including the fog brain (I have Fibro' sometimes called Fibrositis or FMS.)
A rheumatologist is the one who diagnoses Fibromyalgia.
Wishing you the best
I am waiting for complete results of my bloodwork. I know the routine stuff (CBC) all came back fine last month but my doctor was agreeable to checking my thyroid on Friday and that is what I am waiting on. I did not ask about a urine test.
My memory is fine although at times I feel as if my mind is in a fog, I have been chalking it up to the fatigue.
I feel like my hands and feet are warm although others often comment that my hands are cool.
I am near-sighted and have astigmatism but have not had any recent changes in my eyesight.
Thank you for your response!
I have been on the B12 injections for several years now. Even though my levels are now within normal range I don't feel significantly better.
My migraines are under control for the time being. I have identified my environmental/food triggers and try to avoid them.
I am just wondering if there may be a thyroid or other issue linking these seemingly unrelated symptoms as I am an otherwise healthy person.
Thank you for your response!
Have you had your doctor do a complete blood and urine work-up?
How is your Vitamin D?
How is your memory?
Hands and feet warm ?
How's your vision?
You do need to speak with your doctor about how you are feeling.
As your body is having difficulty in absorbing and making sufficient B12 on its own, your doctor should refer your for further investigation.
It may be that you have pernicious anaemia.
For your migraines, make sure that you keep a diary of what you consume (eat, drink). Certain foods are known triggers for migraine sufferers. These are chocolate, coffee, red wine, cheese, oranges. You may have different triggers. Make sure also that you drink plenty of water so that you do not become dehydrated. 2-3 litres a day is usually recommended, more if you sweat or workout. Don't go overboard on water, as it can be just as dangerous as getting dehydrated.
Your migraines may of course be related to your low iron levels and low B12 in your body.
Best wishes.
