What does it mean when I forget how to breathe or swallow?

So I’ve always had trouble with swallowing throughout my life. Whilst was not an everyday thing. It usually would happen randomly, not consistently, and at the worst times. I would already have food in my Mouth and for some reason I suddenly couldn’t swallow. It would sit at the back of my throat and I would panic trying to figure out how to make I go down so I could breathe and eat. Here lately ive been having some trouble in remembering to breathe or how to breathe I passed out once and I feel like thats why, but I’m not sure. It feels like it was because I wasnt breathing but idk if that was it and I was wodering if anyone had any insight they could share.

Hello~I am not sure what would cause it, I have had similar with the swallowing, but it isn't because I forgot how, it is just I can't make my "swallow mechanism" work for a second or so, it is scary, but it always passes, for me, I think it is due to my high stress and anxiety and if I think about swallowing, I have to make myself do it, it doesn't happen naturally. Maybe you are stressed and concentrating on those issues, thus, causing your body to go into "manual" drive instead of automatic. If it really concerns you, then talk to your physician, he/she can no doubt probably explain what is going on better than I.
