Heart problem or something else?

27 year old female. I has a EKG and a halter monitor and a echocardiogram and a stress test in September. Blood work too and all came back normal Last EKG 2 years ago and Echocardiogram. Both results showed nothing.

Starting 2-3 years ago while I was at a gas station pumping gas all of a sudden I got a weird sensation in my throat. It's so weird it’s really hard to describe but I’ll try. It was like a 1 second flutter right below "if I had an atoms apple” where that would be lol but defiantly above my collar bone. Now knowing that I am an anxiety sufferer I feel like I know the difference between a heart palpitation and this weird sensation. This weird feeling only lasted a split second it did not heart or cause any other symptom it just felt off. So over the next few years I have noticed it a lot more. It comes and goes and sometimes happens a few times a day. Other times maybe a few times a month.

I am a major hypochondriac and I now are starting to think I have afib or arterial fibulation. I know I had all those test done not that long ago but that "sensation" didn't happen while I was doing any of throes tests. My question is would the echocardiogram show anything in my heart that lead the drs to think I could have afib even if it was not happening at the exact time. Would there be any type of evidence of enlargement or constriction if I did have afib. And while I was doing the stress test if I really did have afib would it have occurred while my heart was working hard during the stress test?

I'm reAlly worried about this. When I check my pulse after I feel this sensation in my throat, it's usually feels normal to me except today it felt a little fast after but returned to normal fairly quickly.but I was having a bit on anxiety the moment I felt the feeling in my throat. I had no other symptoms.

It sounds like you have a lot of stress and anxiety in your life. Those tests should have picked up if you had any heart trouble. However, chronic stress can cause your body to react negatively causing weird things to happen to you also. When you are stressed or anxious it causes overexposure to cortisol and other stress hormones and can disrupt almost all your body's processes including your heart beat which can lead to heart disease. To rule out that it is not your heart there is one more test you can take . It is the sleep test. It's done at night in the hospital. It takes a long web cam of your heart beating all through the night. If it beats wrong even 1 beat it will be seen on the test. To me, what you have described it just normal stress that we all have. Working too much and getting too tired can also cause heart problems. Rest is very important.

Did you have any episodes while wearing the holter monitor? If so, it should have picked up any palpitations. Afib would have been noticed as well.

If you had no episodes while wearing the holter monitor then you may need to wear it again and wait until you have an episode while wearing it.
