grape juice and blood clots/

hello. I read that drinking grape juice dilates blood vessels, which helps people with coronary artery disease and also helps with people who are wanting to donate blood. Are both of these true? I plan on donating blood this Friday and was wondering if I started drinking grape juice tonight if my blood donation will go more quickly?

Nah. I would bother. It has lots of glucose and calories, besides. On the other hand, it does taste yummy.

So I shouldn't even bother with the grape juice then?

No. Dilating blood vessels would lower blood pressure, increasing body capacitance, making the time to draw blood increase. I have heard this rumor but seen no credible literature to substantiate this claim for grapefruit juice.
