I had that back in the 70's and yes it can multiply. My Dr. at the time did the surgery and said it was best ro remove them. There were three of them and it was done in two stages. They could have become malignant if left untreated according to this Doctor. I went for the surgery. Good Luck with your choices. Be Well Troii

No cysts are benign (non cancerous) and don't become cancerous. I have fibrocystic breast on both sides and it does vary and you can get more or less of them and they can hurt and that is all normal. Have you had a mammogram and are you certain they are cysts?
