hernia

Within an hour after my auto accident I was diagnosed by CT that I had a hernia in my upper stomach where my surgery (cabg) was 5 months prior. No pain or bulge prior to accident. Is this a result of surgery, the accident or both. I don’t understand how a car accident can cause a hernia.

Can you clarify something?  Did you have a CABG? (heart surgery).  The CABG area should be located in the area of your sternum.  In my opinion, this hernia has nothing to do with the surgery or your car accident.
