not sure how to phrase this possible tbi with memory loss?

I have periods of "space outs" during witch I seem to just go blank and lose track of time and what im doing at that time. ive been told its a type of seizure caused by a head injury but have no knowledge of any head injury until a friend told me that I received an accidental gunshot to the head sometime between 2002 and 2004 I seem to have no memory's at all from that time period. I have no memory of this but there is a large unexplained scar on my face where he said the bullet hit is there a way for me to verify or disprove what the friend told me?the "space outs have been increasing in frequency and am now having issues with peripheral vision things look clouded. I also have had problems with my right knee not always holding up while walking.

Where are your family or other close friends? Can't they verify the gunshot wound? If not try to go to the police station or hospital he says you were treated at.Or search the newspaper to see if there is in any mention of it in the news reports.  If you are having seizures- You Must be treated my friend, as these can and will kill you if left untreated! Please call and get an appointment with a Dr tomorrow! And see an eye Dr ASAP - Glaucoma causes you to lose your peripheral vision and it can be halted with medication! If you don't treat it you can lose your sight. I hate to be an alarmist but I used to work at a Dr office and these issues are very serious and need to taken care of immediately!! Good luck!

It could possibly be absent seizures. These seizures tend to make you "space out" and you don't realize how long you've been "out of it". Go to the doctor and mention absent seizures and see what they think.

Sounds like brain /nerve damage. I hope you are going to the doctor very soon as I have heard that can get worse not better.
