Ok for the past couple of months I have been noticing these bruises popping up mainly on my legs. They have raised areas and are tender to touch.  I don't recall how I could get these bruises. I dont remember hitting it on anything. Please help!

That's good! Glad there was nothing seriously wrong with you! I'm sure its nothing but you just never know. I've always bruised pretty easily but don't recall bruises just appearing before. Thanks for the advice!

no I was fine it was from small veins in my leg breaking witch can happen from just about anything. Mine was probably due to weight gain. lol they would go away in a few weeks they were always painful, and would get a really nasty bruise on top or around them I had one get to be a pretty good size.

You should see your doc asap. I had something similar when I was pregnant and had to get checked for blood clots. Sometimes blood pools under our skin when a small vein is damaged and that can cause the knot and also the bruising. But I would still have it checked to make sure its nothing serious.

Have your thyriod checked out. Can't hurt. that may be it. My thyroid was outta wack and caused me to have chest pains. It also gave me unexplained bruises from time to time.
