I have had two laminectomies, and now I am supposed to have rods put in my back, it's the only thing left they can do because it's so bad. I fought it for a long time because I'm scared, but I can't take the pain anymore. I have heard so many horror stories about rods in your back, and a lot of people become even more crippled. But then, I've also heard that they have improved this surgery and it is much better and many people get better. Does anyone know about this surgery and what is your opinion? I'm 66 and going to see the neurologist on the 25th of July. Please help.
