Is my wound healing correctly?
A month ago I was hospitalized for an infected wound in the back of my head as well as an abscess in my neck. Both were drained. Had taken a couple of antibiotics during my treatment. Now I've been off of antibiotics for a couple of weeks and my wound took a long time to close so I was given an antibiotic ointment. The wound closed as the scar is about the size of a nickle or quarter. but I accidentally wiped off what it appears to be an early form of scar in the middle of the entire scar. Im currently only using sterile saline to clean the wound daily. Luckily its kind of small, but in a couple of days I think it formed a hard scab. Some red spots on it and kind of a straw-color.
