Shoulder surgery

I had rotator cuff repair surgery 6/4. I had shoulder MUA 8/9. My ROM has been decreasing. I went to my surgeon today and he told me to stop PT and get 2 massages a week. I told him I wasn’t working and couldn’t afford that. He said, we’ll see what you can do and come see me in a month. I’ve been in PT altogether since July. I went to PT the day of my MUA and everyday for 2 weeks. It then dropped to 3 times a week. I do my exercises at home daily. I feel at this point that suggesting a massage, when I clearly can’t afford to do so, isn’t the best recommendation. Thanks in advance!
