tingling in thumb after wound

I've got two staples stuck in my hand after a self hand injury and my thumb is tingling why is this

Hello, I thought I'd follow back up and see if you are feeling better and if this has fully recovered.

Sounds like nerve damage. Nerves grow back very slowly. Your doctor might try you on something like Gabapentin or Lyrica which helps nerve pain.

Hello and welcome to the forum.  We are glad you found us but apologize for the delay in responding.  Is this situation better?  Please update us.  When tingling is involved, it is very commonly due to an issue with your nerves.  They could have been damaged with the original injury.  Please let us know how you are doing.
