We are really sorry to hear that you suffered septic shock and severe sepsis. That is a difficult situation.  We are glad you survived but sorry to hear you have long term issues after.  It is really important that you communicate these issues with your doctor.  It is not uncommon to have various issues of pain as well as other things following sepsis.  This article talks about how it can happen soon or much later.  https://www.livescience.com/8831-sepsis-long-term-impact-older-adults-study-finds.html.

There is also something called post sepsis syndrome. https://www.news-medical.net/health/What-is-Post-Sepsis-Syndrome-(PSS).aspx
