it's a really hard night and as i sit and try to make sence of what has happened to Randy and my life's.... I can't . The only thing I can say is that truly he had lived that life that was full off excitement, Success and love. I truly loved him
No matter what nothing will bring him back though I'm sure he'll be sitting next to me to night watching one of our favorite shows. It's not the same....
yes on both . it was that he had taken the amben..And yes it was a combination. only he did not over dose.
I am wondering about the drug combination here--not either one alone. Were they prescribed by the same doc and purchased at the same pharmacy by chance?
I feel so bad for you, but your are correct in what you say about prescriptions. There are some dangerous ones out there, and I know Ambien is one. Your anti-inflammatory drugs are some of the worst. When you get one of these prescribed for you, you also get a 2 sided sheet of paper with all the side effects listed. On this is also a big warning asking that any side effects be reported to the FDA immediately! Makes one wonder why it's even on the market.
thank you and yes there was an autopsy done. It clearly states that he had ambian and loratab in his system. Not enough to take him from us.
He's heart liver lungs everything was great for a man of 52. He comes from a family that lives in their late 90's. his parents are in there 80's and just a few years ago stopped down hill skiing. Yes your right some people are sensitive to medications. And we never know. What we do know is that he may have forgotten and took another pill to sleep. or maybe he knew.( Ambian is known for the lose of memories) But he was told it would be OK. Remember I talked to him at 1:30 in the morning. He was getting back into bed. And at 6 the was gone from me.... No matter what anyone thinks. We are not safe from the scripts that are out there. Often we are given scripts that over lap others and can be deadly. I know that with my husband and with all the pain he was in from his back. He still refused to take many of the pills that were prescribed. That's why we were so active.
He would get injections. Only his Dr appointment had to be put off. Dr. went out of town. Really no drink no excess pills... just a loving man that lost his life as per the coroner...
My deepest condolences on your loss and here is Chicago, people have just been warned not to take nasal Zicam. What was your husband's age and did he have health issues that might have also contributed to his unexpected passing.
There has to be more to his passing than just taking Ambien. Did you or the coroner request an autopsy? Some people are very sensitive to medication and there are medications out there that can be life threatening if not taken properly or have a bad reaction. We are very sorry for your loss.
My doctor prescribed this for me about 3 months ago, and I told him NO! I've heard so many horror stories about this drug, and would never take it. Thank you for getting on here and making others aware of the dangers of this medication. I know how real they are, and others need to know. Unfortunately there are many drugs being prescribed that aren't very safe, but because not "everybody" has a bad reaction, they allow it to remain on the market. Your husband's death is just one more of the many warnings that will on on the pamphlet, and only when enough people die from it, will they stop it from being prescribed. I am so sorry for your loss, when your poor husband was only trying to get some sleep. But do not feel guilty, you had no way of knowing.
If I understand you correctly, he was just taking it as prescribed, not an overdose? It's hard to see how that would have caused his death, unless it was an extreme allergic reaction, which is certainly far from common, as this is one of the most frequently prescribed sleep medications in the world. I've been taking it for years with no ill effects. I'm sorry for the loss of your husband, but there has to be more to the story than this.
