Home from business trip

Dear Docs,

I've been on your site for the better part of the last week. Two weeks ago I met a girl at a club in Thailand (works in a hotel). After dancing we left her friends and went back to my hotel and had sex, twice. Both times protected. No oral given or received. I met back up with her later that week and we had sex one more time. This time I did not come inside her but pulled the condom off and cummed of her body. The following week I met another girl at a club and we had sex back at my hotel again. Earlier that night I had masturbated and had a small raw mark on the upper part of my shaft, although it was covered by the condom. I did not come inside her but pulled out and cummed on her breasts.

I've now come home and am afraid to have sex with my wife (who by the way is pregnant... such a tool move!). Do you perceive there to be any significant risks of either STD's or HIV from the experience mentioned above? I've searched throughout the forums and have read dozens of stories similar to mine, but none matched my exact story. I'm quite the hypochondriac, but am more afraid of losing my marriage and infecting my unborn child. I've had a upper respiratory infection for the last 3 weeks and am attributing that to not having sex with her... otherwise I'm not sure what I could tell her.

Thanks for your prompt reply.

Thanks, Doc! Considering the last encounter was last Thursday, when should I get tested for the aforementioned STD's? I'm free tomorrow but not sure if this is too soon?

Good Morning

You've been very specific to say that condoms were in use the entire time and that there was no oral sex.

There are STD's such as herpes, HPV, molluscum contagiosum, syphilis which may be transferred by skin to skin contact as opposed to genital to genital contact - ie you may acquire these even though you used a condom. Consequently, you should do the gentlemanly thing and go and discuss this with an STD doctor who will then perform appropriate screens.

I agree, passing an STD to your pregnant wife would not be good.

best regards, Sean
