panic for may be infected
1, My story about exposure to HIV：when I was in the shower in a 5 star hotel, I saw a very fine and very short red thread suddenly appeared on my slipper; I reached out my hand causally, want to just remove it. But! It broke into two threads as my finger touched it and melt/merge into the slipper on my feet the hotel provides! It should be dried BLOOD! It really astonished me! This made me sleepless the whole night, deeply worried,as my feet skin is a little rubbed off by my shoes during the day.
2,Questions:
1) As Ihave touched it with my finger and my feet is hurt and have paronychia, is it possible that i may be infected with virus of HIV, HCV, TB or syphilis? and how much is the possibility,if there is?
2) How long is the window phase for HIV, 84 days or 168 days? that is, how long can I can get definite answer to whether i get infected? because I want to have a baby in the near future. Chinese doctors told me that would be half a year OR one year; such a long time is really irritating and terrifying.
3) How long is the window phase for HIV if I have HCVor TB?
4) Is there definite answer to how long can the HIV virus live outside human body? How long? Because the last customer to the hotel room may have left less than 7 hours.

Relax. You'll be fine. You're worrying about nothing. Not ideal to have bloody slippers but not a threat to you.

You wont be infected with any of these things. As I say above, dried blood on your slippers not exactly pleasing but not a threat to you in the least - and yes, I did read your comments about your dry skin, parnonychia etc - doesn't alter my view.

You can test for HIV at 7 days using a PCR RNA test or at 28 days using a combined 4th generation test or at 6 weeks using a third generation antibody test. The time frame you have been given is rdiculous and wrong.

I've answered HIV above. You wont get TB from this - simply impossible. I don't believe Hep C is a risk either. You can test for hepatitis C using an RNA PCR test at 7 days or more or using a third generation antibody test at 3 months.
