hiv

I recently slept with three sex workers one of which looked like a drug addict that likely used needles. I had protected sex each time no break in the condom. I pulled one of the condoms off instead of un rolling it but it didnt break. I also shave the base of my penis and testicles am i likely to have gotten hiv and should i do a early detection test because of the high risk people. I also had broken up with my girlfriend for four months we had unprotected sex when we were together because i knew she was negtive and she new i was negtive, should we not do that now we recently got back together and have done it twice and i came in her not even thinking about those instances because of the circumstances. I have had some forums say there is no way i could have it and to save my money and not do a test and go ahead and have sex.

Hello,
Thank you for your post.
It does not matter even if one of these sex workers were to be HIV positive as you did not put yourself at risk of HIV infection.  You used condoms and that is safe, regardless of the way you removed the condom or having shaved the base of your penis or scrotum.  That would not put you at risk.
Therefore no risk for you = no need to be tested.  No risk for your girlfriend.
Best wishes,
Dr José

Hi there,

You seem anxious although you have been assured by Dr. Jose that your exposure do not pose any risk of HIV.

Well, please do not question Dr. Jose's medical license and stuffs. Let MedHelp does that for us. MedHelp is the world biggest health forum and only the best doctors in related fields can be MedHelp experts. And Dr. Jose is one of them.

I know Dr. Jose and many other people have advised you that you do not need to take the HIV Test. But, based on your comments, assurances seem not working which is common. My suggestion, take the test.

For HIV Duo test, take it at after 4 weeks exposure or you can take HIV antibody test at 12 weeks. You will get negative result and move on with your life. That's the assurance you will need. I understand. I was also expose to a risk. Assurances from doctors are helpful. But, only a negative test will make you peaceful. Go on...take a test and please forget about the whole issue. If you want to take for other STDs as well, you can.

But you have been told, you are at a no risk situation, so please stop worry. Just treat the tests as normal screening test.

Stay calm. You will be fine.

another question i have do you think doctors in america are trained to make people take un needed tests so that the drug and testing companys can rake in as much cash as possible. often this is the case in the u.s. with corperations like are jail system we send thousands and thousands of people to jail or prison when we dont need to for money and corperations.

I did have some pretty bad blisters cuts on my hand when removing one of the condoms and i got fluid on my hands right as i pulled out and on the blisters which were pretty cut up and fresh. Should i be worried about other diseases like hpv can they get through condoms or guonaria or syphilis? shouldnt i get tested just in case my girlfriend has herpes and that makes her more suseptible to disease. Also sir where do you practice medicine and what is your license number?  I really get spooked when talking to people online about authenticity thanks.

best regards,

Trace
