Risk of Transmission

Dear Sir,
I had posted  the same question in international forum. But I got a reply and then added another question for which there was no reply.I see that the forum is inactive from the doctors side for last 4-5 days.My question is simple.Does Hiv Transmit through Kissing ,while kissing a high risk individual ,lets assume she is positive, she bit my gums,it was a kiss for 45 seconds, there was  no other activity, this happened 2 years back.I recently saw this site and has been worried after that.Is testing required for this ,I have not experienced any ARS or anything like that as i had forgotten this,I saw one guy claiming that he got this through kissing.Need your view on this.It was a brief kiss max for 45 seconds and 1 hairline cut on my gums .Will a fresh cut cause any chance of infection? There was no visible blood or taste of blood in here mouth. Also I dont know the oral hygeine of hers as it was during midnight and i was drunk,Being drunk is there any possibility that saliva will lose its inhibitive capacity or not .please clarify.I am worried about whether i will be the first unlucky guy to be affected this way.I am from India and the CSW are very risky.
Regards
Victor.

Welcome to the forum.

I agree with the response you had on the international forum:  to my knowledge, there has never been a scientifically documented case of HIV transmission by kissing.  That some people might claim such transmission -- which was your concern in your follow-up question on the international forum -- makes no difference.  Many people have mistaken beliefs about how they are infected.  And even if it happened once, that doesn't mean you are at risk.  If someone reports on a website that they were struck by lightning, are you at higher risk after reading that person's story?

I recommend you just move on and forget this event.  But as Dr. Gonzalez said on the international forum, of course you are free to be tested if all this reasoned reassurance doesn't settle your fears.

Dear Sir,
Your Comments are reassuring, I was satisified with Dr.Jose Garcia Gonzalez's answer,However after reading that guys post ,I was little bit anxious,I am afraid of facing my parents with a +ve report ,that is the only fear i have.My logic says that this is not possible but sometimes the fear and anxiety overpowers logic.
