Concerned about possible HIV exposure

Eight days ago I had a chance encounter with a prostitute in the country of Bahrain. I am severely upset with myself at this point for ever having considered this action. I was extremely inebriated and can only remember bits and pieces of what took place. I do remember her placing a condom on me and proceed to masturbate me then I pulled her on top of me and sucked on her nipples and fingered her some. I do not recall having had penetrated her, but passed out soon there after. I woke the next day extremly naseaous and vomited about six times the next day. When I awoke the next morning the condom was also on the floor but did not have any semen in it.
The very next day I started having pain in my groin and lower abdomen, which has now moved to my lower back at about my rib cage seven days later. My lymph nodes at the crease of my thigh and abdomen at about hip level are now painful, but have little if any swelling. I have no lesions or rashes anywhere and have noticed that my lymph nodes in my arm pits have begun to be slightly painful.
I take tetracycline for acne periodically and have started taking it daily to combat any possible bacterial infection. I have been extremely stessed about the whole ordeal and have been having bouts with anxiety due to it. Could the anxiety be causing my lymph node and abdomen pain?
Remember this is day eight and I do understand that this is supposed to be too early to show signs, but it has all gotten me extremely concerned. What are your thoughts on HIV transmission?

Thank you very much Dr.
I don't think that I got as nauseated from the alcohol as to maybe the food I had eaten that evening before drinking.
I was quite uncertain about the painful lymph nodes and the fact that I could possibly be causing myself to feel those ailments due to the anxiety of the events I had partaken in and knowing what to look for as symptoms.
While vomiting I felt as though I may have strained something in my groin region, but have felt nothing to concern me with an inguinal hernia.
I'm a US contractor and a physicians assistance is not feasible at his time and will not be for another four months.
Could a food brorne illness cause these symptoms?

Welcome to our Forum.  I'll try to help.  Often after activities that, in retrospect, persons wished they had not taken part in or are ashamed of, we attribute unrelated problems associated with other causes to those activities.  This may be part of what is going on for you and is entirely normal. Fortunately however, there is virtually no risk for HIV from the activities you describe.

HIV is not transmitted through mutual masturbation (in either direction, giving or receiving) despite the fact that it is common and typical for partners to get each others' genital secretions on one another in the activities. Similarly, it is not transmitted through kissing or sucking on a woman's nipples.

The onset of the symptoms you describe is not characteristic of HIV or, for that matter, any other STD. There are no STDs which cause symptoms within a day or even two following sexual contact and, in fact, for HIV the typical onset of symptoms typically occurs 2-4 weeks after contact.  The symptoms you describe could be caused by any of a number of other causes including kidney problems common in travelers but not related to sexual activity.  I would suggest you seek evaluation from a knowledgeable clinician if the problem is persisting as you describe but see no reason to worry about STDs, including HIV or to test for them.

I hope my comment is helpful and provides some direction.  EWH
