Conclusive? need Dr. opinion to move on

Hi Dr. , i would like to thank you in advance for answering my question. I am a 28 year old male. On Oct 12 i had sex with a female csw in las vegas, i received unprotected oral for a couple minutes (no ejaculation ) and then continued to have protected sex. While having vaginal sex i heard the condom snap, i pulled out within 3 seconds.
The lady assured me she doesn't have hiv, but i did not completely believe her. I was paranoid.

I Got a base test done immediately on oct 16 (rapid finger ) it came back negative.
Oraquick oral swabs week 2,3,4,5,6 negative.
Rapid finger week 6 negative.
Orakquick oral swab week 7,8,9,10,11,12 negative
Rapid finger 89 days after exposure negative
Oraquick oral swab week 15,17 negative

1) I have read the other forums on here and the different test people have done, i have only done rapid test (finger and oral) are my test results conclusive with those rapid test only?

2) can i officially move on now from this incident ?

Thank you

Welcome to the forum.

I'm happy to confirm the accurate replies you had on the community forrum.  Your test resutls are definitive; for sure you don't have HIV.  You had a virtually zero risk exposure, since few Las Vegas female sex workers have HIV, and yours surely didn't, since people rarely lie about HIV status when asked directly.  You were very seriously over tested, both with several tests that were too early and others that you continued to have after definitive results from earlier ones.

1) Yes, a single rapid test is conclusive -- by 3 months if it's an oral fluids test, and by 6-8 weeks with the rapid blood test.

2) Yes, you can "officially" move on.  You could have done that back when you had the rapid fingerstick test at 6 weeks.

Best wishes--  HHH, MD

I see no reason to repeat myself.  It shouldn't be necessary for you to hear the same reply more than once with different wording.

This thread is over.

Last question, so I can consider my negative results to be definitive/conclusive , I do not have HIV ?

Thank you

I'm sure that one test was a faintly false positive result.  You can drop the subject; you weren't at any significant risk for HIV anyway.

Hi Dr. One last thing i forgot to mention.

During week 12, i took 5 oraquick oral swab test through out the week( i know, i was very paranoid).

My first 4 test came back negative.
5th test was a faint line , i then immediately took two more oraquick oral test and they came back negative.

Then continued on with the rapid finer at 89 days which came back negatiive.

1) Was that just a false positive, with that one test. all my test came back negative after that.

Thank you
