Fingering a girl who was menstruating and french kiss

Last week I went to a strip club, and after paying a private dance, the girl allowed me to touch her vagina, I inserted my finger inside her vagina and I was rubbing her for at least 10 minutes. Then I realized that she was menstruating and she had a tampon. When I took out my finger I didn't see any blood on my hand or fingers, but because of the fact that I had a hangnail and a little cut under it and a small scab I became very anxious and worried about getting any infection such as HIV or Hepatitis B or C.

Also I have to say that before going to the private dance and during the private lap dance we were kissing in the french way, with tongue. I don't know if she had any problems on/in her gums, tongue or sores.

Please tell me if I could be at risk in some way. I can't bear this anxiety and guilt. Should I get tested?

Thanks in advance for your answer.

Extremely low risk, probably zero, for both those infections.  You don't need testing for them on account of this event.

Thanks Doctor,

Your answer has decreased my anxiety about HIV, I'm only still concerned about Hepatitis B or C, could you tell me what the odds are of getting those diseases with the sexual experience described above of fingering a girl who was menstruating and kissing (french way)?.

Should I get tested of those diseases?

Thanks in advance, and happy holidays too!

Welcome to the forum. Thanks for your confidence in our service.

HIV is sexually transmitted only through intercourse; if a bare penis (no condom) doesn't enter a partner's vagina, rectum, or (maybe rarely) mouth, there is no risk.  No cases have been known to be transmitted by fingering or kissing, and finger contact with blood (menstrual or otherwise) also is risk free for practical purposes.  Even vaginal sex during menstruation does not significantly increase HIV risk over sex at other times.

Also, in the US well under 1% of sex workers, on average, have HIV -- and usually it's more like 1 in 1,000.  So the odds are strong that your lap dancer doesn't have HIV.

For those reasons, you really shouldn't be at all worried.  From a risk analysis standpoint, you don't need testing and if you have a regular partner, you can safely continue normal sexual relations -- which is what I would do with my wife, if somehow I were in your situation.

I hope this has helped.  Happy holidays--  HHH, MD
