Uncircumcised

Hello Dr.,
I had a 6 week negative results. I am in my 12 week and I went to get tested yesterday, will get my results in two days. My questions are the followings:

1) I got bruises in my arms and one leg three days ago. Is this an HIV related symptom after 12 weeks and testing 6 week negative?
2) I had sex with my girlfriend a day after I slept with another women since my incident with the other womem three months ago, Ever since, I have not touch her, because I am scare I could give her something, just yesterday she started feeling lower back pain with the pain going down to her legs, headeache, vomiting, sweating, fever and diahrrea today, after three months and me not having sexual intercourse with her, do you believe she could be having something to do with HIV? The doctor gave her to do some blood work and told her it cold be an ifection or virus.
3) I am uncircumsided, could this change the outcome of my test at 12 weeks, after receiving a 6 week negative? I had 4 time unprocteted vaginal sex with the other woman; which keeps in contact with me to see how am I doing. She is doing well, she was just diagnosed with Kidney Infection.
Let me know please. The bruises on my arms and leg are like quarter size and look red.

I'm responding first to opening sentence:  A negative HIV test 6 weeks after a possible exposure is proof you didn't catch HIV.  It doesn't matter what else the rest of your question says about the nature of the exposure or any symptoms you might have.

Now I have read the rest.  Guess what?  To your specific questions:

1) No, not related to HIV.  Kaposi's sarcoma, a cancer associated with AIDS, can appear as bruise-like spots. But that's not an issue until overt AIDS occurs, several years after the initial HIV infection.

2) You cannot have HIV, and therefore could not have transmitted HIV to your partner.  Her symptoms cannot possibly be due to an HIV infection that you gave her.  She should follow her doctor's advice about it.

3) Circumcision increases the risk of HIV if exposed, but it does not change the reliability of the HIV test.  Urinary tract infections ("kidney infection") in women can be triggered by sex, but are not STDs.  However, it is also possible for STDs and UTI to be confused with one another.  Since that partner and you are at risk for STD (because neither of you is monogamous), and because both your partners have become ill at about the same time, all 3 of you should be checked for common STDs, if that hasn't been done. But HIV isn't an issue.

You have no HIV worries here.  Your 12 week HIV test result will be negative.  I'm concerned about the possibility for other STDs, however.

Best wishes--  HHH, MD

There's really no need.  But if you want to post results, also include your partners' STD test results.  It's common for STDs to be missed in men, even though their partners are infected.  So even yours are negative, your partners should be tested.
