Please help!

Hello,

I had unprotected sex with a man (of unknown status) exactly eight weeks ago. It lasted less then two minutes and there was no ejaculation. I didnt suffer from any flu like symptoms but decided to get tested (elisa duo) 6 weeks post exposure. I also had a full std check up. All my results came back negative, however i began to develop anxiety over how 'conclusive' these results were. On the 7th week I had a slight sore throat and went to the clinic for a rapid (finger *****) test. The results were negative. Since then i have been feeling light headed when i sometimes walk, as well as suffering from mild headaches. As a result i am once again panicking. I really need reassurance because my anxiety levels are at its peak.

Just to add i have recently (from two weeks ago) been using a conditoner called 'mega tek rebuilder', designed for horses manes, but the company states it's safe for human use. The ingrediants contain :Deionized water, stearalkonium chloride, glycerol stearate, cetearyl alcohol (derived from palm oil), castor oil, ethoxylate(40),tocopheryl acetate (vitamin e), panthenol, hydrolyzed keratin protein, cetrimonium chloride, tetrasodium EDTA, DMDM hydantoin, methylparaben, propylparaben, fragrance.

The product is very high in protein and contains dmdm hydantoin so im wondering if this could be the cause for my symptoms?

Apologies for my rambling,

kind regards,

Lucy

Hi Lucy--that test at 6 weeks is conclusive--you don't have HIV.The HIV tests are much better these days.
