Hi, I am from India. I received oral sex from a woman and I don’t know her HIV status. After that I was diagnosed with  chronic non bacterial prostatitis. It happened 1 year ago. Am I at risk of contracting HIV. Please help me.

Your situation involves personal contact with an object in air  ( her mouth which is not a risk for hiv.) No worries, because you can't get hiv from personal contact except unprotected penetrating vaginal or anal, neither of which you did and you didn't share hollow needles to inject with which is the only other way to acquire hiv. Analysis of large numbers of infected people over the 40 years of hiv history has proven that people don't get hiv in the way you are worried is a risk.
HIV is a fragile virus in air or saliva and is effectively instantly dead in either air or saliva so the worst that could happen is dead virus rubbed you, and obviously anything which is dead cannot live again so you are good. Blood and cuts would not be relevant in your situation since the hiv has become effectively dead, so you don't have to worry about them to be sure that you are safe.

Thanks for the reply.since I got this chronic non bacterial prostatitis after the encounter I was worried and anxiety that causes is ruining my life.so prostatitis is not an early symptom of HIV?
No, that would obviously be impossible since you had no exposure. hiv isn't the only reason people like you get chronic non bacterial prostatitis, so you need to move on from hiv.
Thank a lot for the reply. How long  can people be without hiv symptoms. This is out of curiosity a asking since some say it can be upto 10 years. I will not trouble you with more questions. Thank you in advance.
It would vary from person to person.  This is not a concern for you since you do not have HIV.
Thanks a lot for your reply
