Thankyou but i really have questions regarding this
If someone is ltnp or elite controller will this test be still conclusive after 4 weeks ?
What about those with delayed seronegatives ? Still conclusive ?

Simple answer to your original question, is the 4th generation Duo really accurate at 28 days.  Yes.  Your risk was there but low with a one time encounter.  You tested negative at 30 days.  I'd consider yourself negative in a conclusive way and relax/move on.  That's the bottom line.

Please read it, this document is available on official website of Government of UK.

Do not include yourself in one out of a million case where positive reported after so many days. You do not know the details of that particular case, his status of immune system health etc.

Medical research papers are written in a different perspective. Your 4th generation Duo test is highly sensitive and reliable, catches virus protein and as well as antibodies, therefore it is more accurate in the early days as compared to its predecessor.

CDC, though have not issues revised guideline but does states that the test gives reliable results 3-4 weeks earlier than 3rd generation test. And you know, these authorities are extremely careful in making any statement

Thankyou sir
I read that and it says no further testing required if the risk is not high
How would you consider a one time viginal intercourse with someone with unknown status ?
And is my result on 30 days conclusive ? Should i go for another one after 6 weeks ?

1) non clade b hiv virus
2) Hypogammaglobulinemia

The reason why this is confusing to you is it is written for medical professionals of which I'm guessing you are not.  It's like reading a law document with the jargon meant for other lawyers.  Almost like their own language  Experts agree that 28 days is the right time frame for the 4th gen duo test to give a result but anxiety makes people not want to believe that or accept that.  We all have to accept it and understand anxiety is normal until it's not and making us worry more than we need to.  If you get what I'm saying.

Yes thankyou for your reply sir. I like many others would love this 28 days conclusive thing. Because i got a negative on 30th day. But ever since then i have been reading stuff for window periods. Im confused very much depressed and for that i would really want a couple of answers from you and any other expert opinion is also welcomed.
Dr handsfield dr tan dr sean they all agree on 28 day test to be conclusive and i do know that the 3 months window period is outdated.
But sir what is this second diagnostic window period where according to many studies there is a small time where both antigen and antibodies are below the levels of being detected ?
The link i shared above i read it and you are right i couldnt understand much of it other than one thing that table which gives us the time when first reactive result came and there is a case where the first reactive with the 4th generation test was on 78 days. I am very much confused on that how can 4th generation not pick up antigen or antibodies until day 78 ?
Thankyou sir
