ARS mild rash on forearm

Hunter Handsfield, M.D.

I am gay, and i had unprotected sex. I was the receptive partner and he did not have any precum, he also didnt cum inside me, after 2 weeks, i started to have rashes. The rashes start from one then the next day got two then the next day got three and so on. Its mainly in my left forearm (6 red dots), right forearm 2 red dots, neck 1 red dots and chest 2 red dots. I do have mild sore throat but i do not have fever. Do you think this might be ARS? im very scared. Pls give me your opinion

Unlikely as you would normally have a high fever and feel very lethargic. The sore throat is also very sore not a bit sore. Having said that you are at risk unless you know his status is negative. In which case you need to take a duo test 28 days after exposure. Please in future use condoms for anal sex as this is the most riskiest activity for the transmission of HIV
