Can I contract HIV from oral sex?

Hi all, I am 20 years old and female. I recently have hung out with this guy 3 times now and all we’ve done so far is kiss. Yesterday I let him perform oral on me, but it didn’t even last for a minute. He recently told me he is with somebody, and I’ve decided to stop talking to him altogether. He has also told me he has cheated on a significant other multiple times with other females so I’m considering him high risk. My biggest fears is that is there any possibility I should be worried about contracting anything? Like HIV? I’m super paranoia and haven’t been to sleep. I’ve asked him about his status and he says he doesn’t have anything, but after he has revealed  to me that he has a partner I feel that he could possibly have something. I plan on getting tested in a month. I’m just not sure what to do now because I keep thinking I could have contracted something as awful as HIV from him giving me orally.

Saliva contains enzymes that restricts transmission of HIV. Oral sex is not a risk for HIV transmission.

That's the problem, there is a lot of 'junk' on the internet. The bottom line is this simply is not how people get HIV.  This disease is very well monitored and they have a lot of data on it at this point.  Adults only get HIV from unprotected vaginal and anal penetrating sex or sharing IV drug needles.  The rest is not going to result in transmission including what you describe.  Oral sex also involves saliva which inactivates the virus.  No one in the history of HIV has gotten it in a proven and documented case in all of these years that we've known about HIV!  You will not be the first.

Hi thank you so much for the input! I just can’t believe I freaked out over something like this. You’re right considering I was the one receiving oral the chances are extremely slim. I guess I may have just overacted because this guy has had a lot of partners, as I said before it didn’t even last a full minute so yeah chances are super slim thank you for this feed back.
Chances aren't slim if a guy gave you oral, they are none.
Really?! Wow, maybe I really need to not google search so much
Unfortunately, there's a lot of  misinformation on the internet.  In the 40+ year history of HIV, no one has ever been infected by receiving oral sex.

Your situation involves personal contact with an object in air  ( penis which is not a risk for hiv.) No worries, because you can't get hiv from personal contact except unprotected penetrating vaginal or anal, neither of which you did and you didn't share hollow needles to inject with which is the only other way to acquire hiv. Analysis of large numbers of infected people over the 40 years of hiv history has proven that people don't get hiv in the way you are worried is a risk.
HIV is a fragile virus in air or saliva and is effectively instantly dead in either air or saliva so the worst that could happen is dead virus rubbed you, and obviously anything which is dead cannot live again so you are good. Blood and cuts would not be relevant in your situation since the hiv has become effectively dead, so you don't have to worry about them to be sure that you are safe.

You are focusing on the wrong virus since you didn't have any hiv risk.
At this point in time, I would avoid encounters with people you don't live with because of the likely 100% risk of you contracting or spreading Covid (if one of you two was positive) in which case you might also spread it to your loved ones.
Since neither of you were social distancing, I hope you check out this forum for information on why you should be doing that 100% of the time today. https://www.medhelp.org/forums/Coronavirus/show/2203
Your health is your wealth, so I hope you remain healthy to be able to enjoy life. Many infected Covid patients including young people are under the misunderstanding that they have zero risk from Covid, but will discover that not all of them will be spared permanent lung and related heart issues in which case they have lost that wealth forever.

Hi thank you for answering, I’ve been scaring myself online with other websites. I have anxiety issues so I assumed because I got oral I could contract the virus. Appreciate the answer.
