Can a Possible HIV Infection Cause Nausea after 8 Weeks After the Exposure?

The exposure was unprotected anal sex. 8, I am feeling nauseated and generally uneasy. Is 8 weeks too late for symptoms? And, I would have gotten tested two weeks ago, but there was a problem with insurance. My first test cost $600.

Dude, get off the internet. You are doing yourself more harm by increasing your anxiety. You should try to keep some things in perspective.
First, do you know the status of your partner? If he was HIV-, then you have nothing to worry about.
Second, worst case scenario was that he was HIV+ your odds are in the neighborhood of 1 in 200. Not great, but not bad.
Third, at 8 weeks, you can get a good idea of your status by taking an Oraquick Oral Solution test. You should be able to find these over the counter in any pharmacy in North America, and will have results in 20 min.
Finally, please commit to using condoms with partners of unknown status, and you will have little to no worry when it comes to HIV.

After looking it up, they come in clusters. Nausea by itself is unlikely to be one. I think this is likely something else then, which is a huge relief, but it still remains a nuisance nonetheless. What is the average time for symptoms to appear anyways?

Anxiety is silent.... can happened anytime.

With ars symptoms come all at once. You won't get a bit here or there.

This nausea started before the stress, though.

i wouldn't be in the least surprised if it was related to lack of sleep and nerves due to anxiety! your body suffers a lot under duress.

That is good to know. But what do you think is causing this nausea then? It's more annoying than anything. I want to eat, but my stomach feels messed up and the lack of getting much food is leaving me feeling weaker than usual. And on the topic of ARS, I felt nothing wrong health wise during the 8 weeks leading up to me getting this nausea.

It is late for ARS symptoms, but you need to test given the fact that you had unprotected anal sex. Don't be nervous, get the test done and the likelihood is that you will be hiv negative at the end of the window period of 28 days for a 4th gen combo test.
