Anyone please ? Chima7 can i get answer from you ?
Thanks a lot for answer. According my searchs, the negative result with a 4th generation test after 4 weeks give us a %95 rate. İ had also after 6 weeks and that is negative too. So can we say im negative in rate of %97-98 ? By the way, my tests not DUO.İt was COMBO. DUO has 2 values in result paper (value of ag and value of ab) but COMBO has 1 value. But COMBO is still 4th right ?.
There is debate about exactly when an HIV test is considered 100% conclusive. Some say 6 weeks, some say 8 weeks, but international guidelines still advocate a confirmatory test at 12 weeks for conclusive results.
If you had a 4th generation DUO test at 6 weeks, it is highly unlikely to change at 12 weeks, but the 12 week test will absolutely confirm your status.

laboratory 4th generation tests have a window period of 28 days (blood drawn from your arm). By 6 weeks most doctors consider them conclusive. There are some 4th generation rapid point of contact tests (where they draw a drop of blood from your finger with a prick) which seem to be less sensitive (particularly the p24 antigen part). In any case a 12 week test is conclusive.
