Can seroconversion happen at 6 days?

About 6 days ago I had unprotected vaginaland anal sex with a friend. Yesterday, day 5, I woke up feeling a tingle in my throat with white patches on my tonsils. I was trying not to worry about it too much and went along my day. But today, day 6, I woke up with a sore throat and a slight fever. I’m super concerned that I might have been infected with HIV. I’ve asked my friend before for his HIV status and he claims to not have it. Is it possible to seroconvert after only 6 days?

You've written here a couple of times about irrational fears and all of a sudden you have unprotected sex?  Hm.  Well, no.  You can not attribute any symptoms to HIV 6 days after.  If you 'really' had unprotected vaginal and anal with someone, then you will need to test at 28 days with a Duo, 4th generation test. But A. did this really happen?  B. it was with a friend who presumably you KNOW if they are HIV + and the likely are NOT and C. a one time episode of unprotected sex is not a risk.  You will have to wait until the window in which you can test and please do not think every ache, bump, cough, sore is ANYTHING to do with HIV until then because you will drive yourself crazy with that stuff.  Symptoms are NOT used to diagnose HIV.
