Can you get HIV from the barber? - Have symptoms

Hi, so two and a half weeks ago I was at the barbers, and the barber made a cut on my neck below my ear with the razor. It wasn’t very deep, but it was cut enough so that there was blood. At first I became concerned that I might have got an infection from the incident but then I decided it shouldn’t be an issue. However, over about the past week I have come down with some symptoms such as sore throat, cough, runny nose, and mouth ulcer all of which are early symptoms of HIV infection. This has made me very concerned and wondering whether I should visit my GP or get tested. Some advice about this situation would be really helpful thanks as I’m currently very concerned.

Your situation involves personal contact with an object in air (razor) which is not a risk for hiv. No worries, because you can't get hiv from personal contact except unprotected penetrating vaginal or anal, neither of which you did and you didn't share hollow needles to inject with which is the only other way to acquire hiv. Analysis of large numbers of infected people over the 40 years of hiv history has proven that people don't get hiv in the way you are worried is a risk.
HIV is a fragile virus in air and saliva and is effectively instantly dead in air so the worst that could happen is dead virus rubbed you, and obviously anything which is dead cannot live again so you are good. Blood and cuts would not be relevant in your situation since the hiv has become effectively dead, so you don't have to worry about them to be sure that you are safe.
It is flu season so wash your hands with soap plus try to watch out for people coughing on you, because one of those are how you got sick.
