Clinic Risk?

Hello Experts,

I visited a STD clinic in Bangkok to have HIV blood test, I'm concerned with infection by visiting this clinic.
I asked a nurse to ensure she uses a new needle, yes she replied a new needle.

Could I be infected by other means, like contaminated cotton pads to clean my skin before drawing blood, and stop bleeding or her gloves being contaminated with other bloods? Is it possible? Did anyone ever get infected by visiting STD clinic?

Best Regards

Since you didn't answer the QUESTION in the previous advice on May 13, I will do it for you. No there wasn't a penis in my anus and she didn't inject me with a hollow needle so I had no risk and should move on instead of asking irrelevant questions about pads.
