Condom slipped unprotected

Met a csw in texas...she emphasized in using condoms. We had protected sex vaginally  and while we were in the dstyle position when i pulled out to climax i noticed the condom wasnt on anymore.  Im not sure if condom was at the tip and came off when i pulled out or it came off as i was still thrusting. Im assuming it came off while still thrusting. I may have been inside her unprotected 5 to minutes.  After noticing what happened i asked her if she gets tested she said yes every 2 months and that this was the first time shes had a mishap. She says according to her that she always uses condoms. And she was quite nervous about what happened so i then assured her that i was fine and showed her receipt ofmy last hiv test 9 feb 2016.  I am convinced shes telling the truth on her status as she states she has a life other than her profession but she was nervous about me in which i assured her that i was hiv free but after this unfortunate event has me worried that i am at risk. Please advise....i ended up arranging a nat test at university of California San Diego along woth a rapid test. I was told by them that my risk was low but still reccomended to go for piece of mind....please advise on my risk? Was it in fact low?  This event happened 1 april 2016 at around 3 pm.  Please help me..

You should follow the advice given not only by the University but alderick.

Unfortunately, the bottom line is that you had unprotected vaginal sex, and while I agree the chances are pretty low, the fact remains.......you had a risk.

Have a 4th generation DUO test at 28 days post this exposure and a confirmatory test at 12 weeks for a 100% conclusive result.

I understand that you've been responsible in the past and always used condoms, but condoms, unfortunately, DO slip off and they DO fail.

I wish you the best outcome.

What is the difference between the duo test and the aptima hiv1 rna test? Thats what im taking they are giving me rapid test first then the naat test. They said itll confirm my status...i will. also test in either 6 or 12 weeks. The thing is UCSD is saying i wouldnt need to test after a negative test with the qualitative test. Why so different?  I really hope i test negative i take test on the 9th April.

Hello, I agree with the advice that were given. You were at risk, but your risk wasn't the highest, unprotected insertive vaginal sex has around 1 in 2000 chances of transmitting HIV, if the receptive partner is HIV  positive, off course. Testing is advised in your case.

Hope this helps.
