Undiagonsed hiv

Hi there,

I am pretty sure I don't have hiv but am scared to get tested. If I contracted it, it would have been 12 years ago or maybe 12.5. Would I be having serious symtoms by now?
I have become very scared lately. I've had sinusitis after having a bad head cold a few weeks ago. I read about sinusitis and see its correlated to hiv. Otherwise, I  have NO symptoms like fatigue, weight loss, gastro, etc. I have become so afraid that my anxiety is ruining my daily life. Please adivse.

It would vary person to person. Someone on this form has been living with HIV for 25 years. So you never know.
And it is common to get sinusitis after/during a bad head cold.

I would not worry but if you are, test so you will know and get the proper treatment.

I understand what you're saying! I guess I'm just asking people who might know, if they would say it's likely to be having serious symptoms after 12-12.5 years, untreated...

Go get tested, only way to know for sure.
You may live for years without knowing. Symptoms is never a good way to look at anything.
