Could jock itch lead possible exposure?

Hello Doctor,
I recently had protected insertive anal with another male student at my university who I know sleeps around a lot. We used condoms but at the time I had a pretty nasty case of jock itch, there didn't seem to be any open wounds or visible scratches but I am still concerned some rectal fluid or blood may have gotten in. The rash is on my inner thighs right near my penis. Would an open jock itch rash be a possible route for HIV exposure if we practiced safe sex?

No risk.  Wounds or scratches don't matter.  HIV transmission happens INSIDE the body, not outside.  You used a condom and it did not fail - you are safe from HIV.
