Current situation.

Hello, Im sorry but i cant help but be anxious at the moment. I just returned from my dr, where at my request im having a full test for std's. Appx 4 weeks ago i had protected vaginal sex. When symptoms appeared i asked the woman if she had been sick, she said no.She supplied the condom but im unaware of the type or make of it.Shes a csw.I took an oral test yesterday that replied negative.I had the usual complaint of winter symptoms that went away but for the past 2 weeks im dealing with folliculitis and red painful bumps that itch on various parts of my body. I also have jock itch, but admit its been a problem on and off for months. Only now its worse.Just nervious as you can tell and looking for a friendly ear. Thanks for reading.

As anxious has stated , there's no way she wouldn't have used latex .. Your symptoms are dermal nothing unusual there . Remember you had protected sex.. Your urethra was covered . You were never at risk, condoms work!

Hi randall, the only pre existing was jock itch, but that was in remission at the time. My symptoms I list above are all post.Again, I dont know the type of condom it was, and read on here and elsewhere that if not latex, thats a problem. Honestly, given the situation, I cant see why it wouldnt be, but I admit it was different than ones I normally use myself.

Lambskin condoms are more expensive and she was protecting herself against you, so there is no reason she would have not used latex.

Try to relax until your results come shortly.

You had protected sex , which is safe sex. What symptoms other than the pre- existing did you have?

All of the symptoms you list can come from other causes and you even said you had JI for months before your encounter. Just because you are living with irrational fear of HIV, (that you can't have) didn't make HIV the cause of the symptoms.

You need to think cause and effect over and realize you are making lots of assumptions trying to play doctor then pretending your assumptions are causes. Assumptions are worthless in medical diagnosis.
