DO I HAVE TO WORRY?

On the 24th of August 2011, I had a protected sex with a sex worker. Throughout the intercourse and oral sex, i wore a condom. I didn't finger her vagina. On the 2th of September 2011, i have sex with another sex worker with a condom but i did finger her vagina with my 3rd and 4th finger. I did not have any wounds on those fingers but i have a wound on my last finger. It wasn't bleeding but i guess it was kind of a open sore? due to eczema. About 6 weeks later on the 9th of october, i shared drinks with my niece who was sick with a bad sorethroat, and her tonsils was swollen. And on the 12th of the october, 3 days from sharing drinks with my niece, i had chills and comes on and off, fever along with the chills, sorethroat, swollen tonsillar lymph nodes, headache and weakness. I did not have any diarrhea/vomitting/ nausea. These symptoms lasted for a week and went away because i started my antibiotic treatment, Cefuroxime for streptococcal infection (Tonsillitis). Since then My swollen tonsils went down in size but it is still palpable more on the left side. It is the 9th of November now, and i can still feel my lymph nodes. I did have oral thrush because of the antibiotic medication that i was on but i did not have any oral hairy leukoplakia. And Since the 7th of November, i have been developing small red spots on my arm. It is not in a large amount only 3-4 red raised spot that do not itch on my right arm. One of them developed at the wrist and there is one on the palm. The eczema on my right last finger has been there since February and has not recovered cause i kept scratching it. I also feel as though my facial oil has icreased leading to much oilier face and small pimples coming out. It is the 10th week since my exposure,

Am i at a huge risk??
I do not have any cycle of chills or fever since that first time after sharing drinks with my niece who i assume had streptococcal infection of the throat.
The minor rash just worries me. I have been reading up on the symptoms of HIV so often that sometimes i get lost in my thoughts and been awfully quiet recently.
What could cause these rash? Anyone knows if it is just anxiety that cause these rash to appear? DO help me thank you.
I took a blood test this morning but it isn't a hiv test, will the lymphocyte count give me an insight of whats going on?

A rash could indicate any number of medical problems, including just a simple rash. In your case probably the least likely explanation is HIV. Please go to your doctor re the rash, and stop wasting peoples time on a HIV forum.

Hi, can i ask if the skin rash appears with the fever OR without the fever. What if i have the fever first and then 2 weeks later only i started having red raised spots around my arm? Is there a difference? how does the HIV symptoms manifest?

BTW One more! I have been reading so much that fingering doesn't transmit HIV. But what if the Vaginal fluid comes into contact with my open sore (Not oozing with blood but there is some flesh) eczema ridden finger :S

Thanks. It really helps. I really hope this rash don't go any worse and the painless bean shaped tonsillar lymph node would subside in size. Would love to know if other ppl have some opinion too.

And btw, my rash might be increasing in number..I am just afraid it is just a start. Just curious why the rash only appears after 4 weeks since my fever.

your symptoms are NOT hiv related.  WHY?  YOU HAD NO RISK.

the symptoms of early infection are the same as a multitude of everyday, common illnesses.

work with your dr to find the cause of any illness you acquire...its NOT NOT NOT due to hiv infection.

hiv is transmitted through...
UNprotected vaginal / anal intercourse
sharing iv drug works
mother to child

clearly you can see that you had no risk.  testing is not needed.

But i have all the symptoms of sorethroat, swollen lymphnodes, fever, chills w/o nightsweats. I dont know it is because of the HIV or the streptococcal infection from my niece because strep infection is very contagious. and The rash is begun...10 weeks of exposure, i am afraid the rash will become worse. I am also wondering why my facial oil has increased. I heard it can also be caused by HIV infection.

You DO NOT have any risk of HIV, NOT AT ALL , and your symptoms do not have any relative to HIV , but you should contact a doctor for your symptoms
