Do i need any further testing?

Hi Doctor, I had a vaginal sex with a sex worker in Delhi 12 weeks back. I had ensured that the Condom had not broken. But, was not sure if the tip of my penis touched her vagina or not before I wore the condom. Got a really bad sore throat after 5 days which lasted for 2 weeks. No other symptoms. Went for HIV ELISA test at 2,4,6,8,9 and today at 12 weeks. All have come up negative. I took the tests at Apollo Hospital Delhi ( so can assume that they did it correctly, as its one of the best). Also, the 9th week test did it at a different hospital. All are negative. I have read on the internet that the 12th week ELISA antibody test is conclusive. My Question: Is this conclusive?? Do I need any further testing. The Microbiologist at Apollo told me that test once at 24 weeks as well to be 100% confident. Won't be able to bear mental pressure till den. In the USA 12 weeks is regarded as 100%. Is the Microbiologist being very conservative OR there is a possiblity of testing positive at 24 weeks??

Thanx a lot Lizzie for confirming this..
Just wanted to check two more things, is the ELISA test the same worldwide? I am from India...
Also, will one more week make any difference? Asking this, as some sites say 13 weeks ...

Thanx a lot for the great work you guys are doing..

Well, I took the 110 day ELISA test.

It was the Abott AXSYM HIV1+2 AG/AB at a different Lab... it came back negative..

Shall i take this as the final and not test any more?? Or as some people suggest, take the 6 month test as well...

Also, will it make a difference, if i take some other type of test. like say some Rapid Test? Asking this, because all the tests I took till date have been the ELISA test..

the CURRENT guideline, stating that 3 months post exposure will give a conclusive result, has been in effect since 2004 ! ! !

you do not need further testing...you dont have hiv
