Does Valtrex affect combo test result at 34 days?

I have a possible exposure with CSW. I had a  combo test at 34 days but during that time I was taking Valtrex to deal with my EBV infection.

Is the result reliable?

Thanks.

You had no risk. Using a condom prevents the spread of HIV and oral sex is not a risk for HIV. In an adult, unprotected anal and vaginal sex can result in HIV.

We often see people here worrying about non risks so before anyone answers, understanding what your risk was is helpful.  You likely never had a risk at all.  To answer your question in a general way, no.  Valtrex is not going to affect your HIV tests.

I had protected oral and virginal sex with CSW. However, i did not check the status of condom after sex.

Assuming condom is broken ( unprotected sex), is my test is conclusive at 33.5 days with Valtrex?
You do not have HIV.  Work on your anxiety as the disorder to treat.

We are not going to assume anything to help you fodder your anxiety. If your condom had failed, it would have been evident. You didn't need to test, you weren't at risk.

Nevertheless, no medicine apart from ARV drug can cause delayed sero-coversion. Please move on.
Hi Mike,

I know that Valtrex does not affect antibody. But how about p24 antigen? At early 34days test, the main portion of test should detect the antogen rather than antibody?

You are going over board.  I would say you need to speak to your doctor about anxiety at this point.
Do you comprehend? I said "you were not at risk." You must see a therapist for your obsession. You don't have HIV. Please move on.
