1) How many patients have you treated over the years you have practiced (guess-timate)?
2) How many seroconverted after a negative 6 week OraQuick?
3) How many seroconverted after a negative 8.5 week OraQuick?
4) Do you believe a negative 8.5 week test is over 99% accurate?

My encounter is actually unprotected vaginal (several times) with a Nurse. She has been tested at the times above since her last encounter with a different unknown status and I have been tested negative prior (at 13 weeks, before this encounter) I reset my own clock (no lecture needed). Sept 4th will be her 12 week (84 day) since prior to me (she remembers the date due to a nasty breakup the day after (he cheated! I found out later..). Her relationship lasted 12 years with this individual whom claims he had 1 encounter that broke the marriage. I have known her for years prior and always had an interest.

Ok enough..blah..blah..onto your educated answer...

You have posted on the wrong site.   Questions about HIV belong on the HIV prevention site.  Many of the questions you ask have been answered there before.  I will do my best to answer your questions with this reply but, if you have additional questions or follow-up they must be on the HIV Prevention site.  Sorry

1. For the past 25 years I have directed clinics that have seen at least 15,000 patients per year.
2 & 3.  OraQuick testing is only used sporadically in my clinics (cost and volume issues).  I have never seen a person seroconvert after 6 or 8 week tests.
4.  At 8 weeks we estimate that 98-99% of tests that are going to be positive will be.

Your exposure - Get over it.  The exposure you describe is close to no risk.

End of post.  Further questions must be on the HIV Forum.  EWH
