Do my symptoms related to ARS and the accuracy of HIV Rapid Test?
Hi, I had vaginal sex with a sex worker in Asia 5.5 weeks ago (With condom but it was supplied by the sex worker, not sure what brand is it but definitely not Durex or other well-known brands). I am not sure if the condom broke but at least I didn't notice. 4.5 weeks after exposure, I have mild headache and mild muscle/joint pain at my right arm and I also feels that I have a low-grade fever but the temperature reading is fine (Ranging from 36.2 - 36.6 Degree Celsius). I don't think I have any rash but I am still having such symptoms until today. At exact 5 weeks post exposure, I took a HIV rapid antibiotics test (Definitely not the 4th generation, either 2nd or 3rd generation and the test kit should be Alere Determine™ HIV-1/2) and the result is negative.
My question :
1) Does my symptoms related to ARS and will ARS occur 4.5 weeks after exposure?
2) How accurate does a 5 weeks negative HIV rapid antibiotics test result (2nd or 3rd generation) is?

You never had a risk. Because you wore a condom. Smart csw's carry their own condom because they are also afraid of getting hiv from you. The fear goes both ways, you should be afraid if your partner has multiple partners and loves unprotected sex. They may not even be neccearily be csw's.

Please read. Based on this you do not need to test. But if you are sexually active it would be prudent ti get tested every 6 months. Just for safety sake.

I know my risk is very low or even none but the symptoms really freak me out. I am having continue headache and muscle/joint pain for unknown reason. Is that true that a 5 weeks rapid test has over 90% accuracy? If my symptoms is related to ARS, my 5 weeks rapid test should be positive right?
