Please advice, very worried about 'protected' sex

Hi, exactly three weeks ago i was for business in Jakarta. In the hotel there is a bar with a lot of CSW. At night I drunk to much and was still under the influence of sleeping pills for the long flight. No excuses but I took a girl to my room.

I fingered the girl and she gave me a handjob (handjob very shortly i did not wanted it). Then i put on a condom and had vaginal intercourse for about 5 min. During intercourse i even checked if it was still intact, because my foreskin was not all the way back underneath the condom but it looked ok. I felt very dirty and took off the condom myself after we finished, i inmidiately put some water in the condom (not a lot) to test it for holes. I did not see any water dripping out.

I felt horrible and confessed to my long term girlfriend. Now I have huge anxiety for HIV. One week ago I got a cold (runny nose, sore throat, sneezing but no fever) and recovered but the last days I got sick again. My lungs full of phlegm, coughing and noise when breathing. Also had a fever 2 days ago for one night only. Went to doctor yesterday and diagnosed a bronchitis and gave me antibiotics. I feel a bit better now but i am in fear this was caused by ARS. Could this be ARS? I had no very high fever or rash. I did have diarrheas but could be from antibiotics or food, my girlfriend also had it once.

Should I be worried? I want to move on and leave this behind but i cannot stop googling and find low risk for condom protected instead of no risk. Please advice.

Thanks.

First off stop looking on the internet. It will cause your anxiety to take the best of u, also u will start to mimic the symptoms u have read. The internet has lots of myths, false information, and outdated info. Secondly, u had protected sex which is "SAFE" sex. If the condom was intact and did not break or fail from detachment. Then u are safe. Additionally information latex and synthetic latex condoms are highly effective against HIV/STIs when used correctly and consistently.

And whatabout the bronchitis? Could that be a sign of Ars?

Thanks for your reply vance. Why does cdc says 80% effectiveness for condoms, that freaks me out. I also not sure if I rolled it down upside down anymore. Is bronchitis a sign of are? And did anybody ever seen a case like mine where one still got hiv?
