Hiv Test ?

A local std clinic does a rapid hiv test that tests for anitbodies & antigen.  I don't know the official name.  Im assuming this is a duo test?  They told me it can pick up infection as early as two weeks, but I would still need to wait three months for a conclusive result.  Seems like everything Ive read on here with a test like this it would be conclusive at 28 days? Any input?

Don't really think testing needed except for my anxiety?  I freaked out because this was my first unprotected encounter in years. I always try to be  careful..

No. Any negative test is good.

What was your exposure?

Would this rapid test be a complete waste of time at 2 weeks?

Lab test are the best test,u going for rapid tests, they have false, accuracy rates.also they cannot detect recent infections. So always prefer laboratory blood based tests,it wil give u 99.99 percent accuracy.hiv tests have maximum level of accuracy but not rapid tests, but proper lab tests

I would take the test again around 3 months and not expect my result to change.

Would 28 days be conclusive?

The rapid test doesn't have quite the same amount of sensitivity as a standard blood draw.  That being said, it'll still be an excellent indicator of your true status.
