Genuine concern?

Got a 28 day hiv duo test booked Wednesday morning which will be about 35 days post an encounter

I'm British, had unprotected oral and brief vaginal on holiday at the start of June, stupid I know.

Was feeling very drowsy and tired and stiff for about a week to 10 days afterwards and almost immediately developed a white tongue that has not since gone away. Also had tender testicles, a mouth ulcer and have now got a swollen lymph node behind my ear

Was tested for stds at 1 and 4 weeks and came back negative, that despite me having higher than normal puss cells in my urethra and being given antibiotics twice as a result (white tongue was there a few days after the encounter prior to any antibiotics)

Now I'm worried that I've had all these issues and have tested negative for other sti's and have this rest Wednesday that I am told is 99.8 percent conclusive at 28 days. I want to go in there with some sort of idea. Should I be worried, am I causing myself all these problems through anxiety

She was white and British and told me she's had 2 previous white British partners both protected

Worried, want Wednesday to hurry up

cheers

im concerned massively and will be until (fingers crossed, everything crossed) tomorrow goes well.

its the fact its unexplainable that ive had all these issues but tested neg for all std's so far, and also had various hiv symptoms albeit spread out over a month or so, and also some which don't sound like primary symptoms

wont know what to think, or be able to think of anything else, for the next 23 hours

Although HIV transmission is not a game of numbers and probabilities, however reading your post, it is evident that your risk is not too high. Chances of getting HIV from a single isolated act of unprotected sex are pretty low, although not zero either.

Your 4 weeks p24 duo test is highly reassuring and very highly unlikely to change otherwise. As the test gives you very good reassurance, you can relax and calm down and repeat the test after 12-13 weeks of the exposure and collect your conclusive report which is going to be a negative one.
