HIV Concern over 6 months

Hi,

Ive been reading this forum for a while and now I think is a good idea to make a question My self.

Please let me know what you think.

About 8 months ago I had unprotected sex with a girl of unknown HIV status.

3 - 4 weeks later I started to freak out due to the symptoms. I only had a headache during the afternoons (possibly because I quit drinking coffe) for about a week, and one time I thought I had fever but later on I was ok. No fever, no sore throat, no rash, no diharrea or any other symptoms.

I also started having unprotected sex with my ex girlfriend and she didnt showed any symptoms either (I know i was irresposable but I wasnt freaked out when we started having sex again). I stayed with her for 5 months and she never experienced fever or any other symptom.

I was holding up ok but now I have tonsilitis and i am freaking out again because I red how in many cases HIV does not show any severe acute symptoms and every time I get a pimple, a headache or an allergy reaction in my penis I worry that it could be due to HIV.

Im not brave enough to take the HIV test, even though my quality of life is constalty decreasing  due to been worried all the time and i havent been able to talk to anyone about this.

I just want an opinion, what do you think? is it possible that neither my ex gf or me experienced any acute HIV infection symptoms? how often does this occurs? Is headache during the afternoons enough to be concern?

Many of you might think this is just stupid, but I wouldn't be asking if It wasnt necessary for me.

Thanks in advanced!!

Im not brave enough to take the HIV test,

So you'll go through life and have an anxiety attack because perhaps something innocent may have occurred to your body and you'll flash back to a sexual experience?
Get the courage right away and test.
As James said it will be conclusive and you can be 100% done with it.

It is the responsible thing to do for yourself and for "future sex partners".
