HIV Symptoms 5 days post exposure

Hi, I have had brief unprotected vaginal sex two days in a row with a massage girl on 8th and 9th of Feb, a loads of oil was involved while during the time of intercourse (kissing was involved). I was feeling absolutely normal but started sneezing on 10th of Feb after a long road trip after which I has nasal congestion on 11th of Feb. I then developed bad sore throat on 14th of Feb and had fever 100.6 degree Fahrenheit, chills with muscle pain and also vomited once. On 15th Feb I took levofloxacin, Paracetamol, nimesulide and Betamethasone in the morning after breakfast and my symptoms became mild. Less cough and my body temperature dropped to normal, I took the same meds after dinner and had drenching night sweat the same night which woke me up at 5 in the morning. I am now very worried that I have contracted HIV and think only about that. Please let me know if these symptoms are related to exposure I had.  today is 16th and I still feel week and sleepy, cough, nasal congestion and bit of pain in shoulders is there. Please help me out as its haunting me every second.

Your Duo was taken on 20 days post exposure and it's an excellent indication of your status, but not conclusive. Your test is around 95% reliable. Yes, you should certainly do the follow up at 12 weeks for a conclusive result. I must apologize to you. When I said take the DUO in 12 days, I was actually aiming for 28 days post exposure, which would have been near conclusive.
Either way, with the 12 week follow up test, there is still no room for error. And when I say 95% percent, it actually means that your chance of infection through 2 acts of unprotected vaginal intercourse with a person of unknown status are actually WAY lower than than 5%. So, you're almost in the clear.
But, do follow up with the second test.

Hello,

The result for CMIA DUO test has arrived which was done on 12 day mark. Immunoassay index states 0.29 and hence non reactive.
Should I still go for a test on 90 day mark?

Take a DUO test in 12 days as an indication. Follow up at 12 weeks with an antibody test for a conclusive result. Hopefully, your DUO will be negative, and if so, it will be extremely unlikely to change at 12 weeks ((some say conclusive)), but personally, I would still go for the 12 week post exposure test too.

And also after sleeping all night, I have also slept all day today, and still feel like sleeping. Is excessive sleeping related to my body responding to HIV?
ARS symptoms usually happen 2-3 weeks after exposure so on the 14th and 15th ((around 1 week)) is too soon, and they don't go away so soon either, so stop trying to connect everything that's happened to HIV.
Anyway, HIV is never diagnosed on the basis of symptoms. As I mentioned before, just stay calm and test at the right times.
Thank You
