Risk with top on prep

I had anal intercourse with a top. I asked him before about his status and he said he was negative. He has multiple partners but mostly same persons. He also told me he was on prep. Whatis the risk because I think he might leave condom away while he is on prep.

As you used a condom during sex, your question as it relates to you has been answered that you had no risk.

His/ Other party HIV status means nothing to you.

As you said condom was used, so nothing to worry about as sexually only unprotected penetrative anal or vaginal sex poze HIV risk.

Since your encounter was protected which is a No Risk wrt HIV, so Move On as youbdo not have any hiv concern.

Remember, always use condom for anal or vaginal sex.

No Test required.

Thank you. I am just curious now. Would it be safe to have condomless anal sex when he is on prep? I read that if prep is taken accordingly, hiv is not transmittable. And is it true you may not take prep if one is hiv +? He showed me the leaflet of his prep medication. It was tenofovir and emtricivir or something.
It is never 100% safe torely on a medication working for everyone, so  going without a condom if the other person is positive has a risk. Nothing else to say, because if you want to play the odds it is like any form of gambling.
This is an hiv prevention forum and you don't have hiv so you need to move on from fixating on it, because this isn't a gambling class for those who want to know odds.
I certainly don't want gamble about my health butI admit I'm fixed about getting hiv every time I have sex with someone. But some researchers say that medication like Truvada could leave condom behind if prep is used correctly. Maybe it's interesting to know if that statement could be confirmed here. After all, the forumis here about hiv prevention, is it not? A correct answer is useful for people here
Your question was answered and hiv prevention is straightforward, so this is not a debate forum. We rely on the opinion of expert docs, so we don't pay attention to anything you locate on the internet or we will be here arguing all day.
There exists strains of the HIV virus that are RESISTANT to HIV drugs.  These resistant HIV strains are created by HIV+ people not adhering to their medication's dosing requirements. A person on PreP can be infected with a drug-resistant HIV strain by not wearing a condom.  A condom is always needed to guarantee no risk of exposure with regards to penetrative anal/vaginal sex.
