HIV from eye poke
I went to the barber shop and when the barber cut my hair his finger poked my eye hard by accident. I'm not sure if he was bleeding. Will there be a transmission of HIV?
No, that wouldn't lead to HIV. HIV is transmitted in known and set ways that include having unprotected vaginal or anal sex or sharing IV drug needles. A poke in the eye whether you or he was bleeding would NOT transmit the virus.

Thank you so much for your resonse! I have one more question. Would ocular mucosal injury increase the risk? As my eye was poked hard.
no, there is no risk involved in this no matter what you add. It's not a risk for hiv
