Hiv question need help

Hi everyone i need help with some answers 2 weeks ago i went to the hospital i had a panis attack then the nurse came over to do blood work and ask me if i wanted a hiv test so i said yes so i was there for four hrs then the came over and said everything is normal so i can go home and they will mail my results but i havent gotten it yet..now do they do the hiv test there right away? Thats y the doctor said everything is normal becuz he didnt mention anything about the hiv test and if it was + would they have contacted me? Please help me out so nervous thanks guys!!

You have to ask them to be 100%. Only THEY know.

They cant five it to me over the phone and with my job i have no time to pick it by the time i get out that deptpartment is closed thats why i came here maybe you guys would know becuz ur are professonials she if i didnt recive a call or a letter in the mail im in the clear no?

They would call and tell you to come in. But why don't you rest your mind and call them for the result?

Thank you just didnt know why that was my first time i had a test like that done so i figured if it was bad they would have called me right?

I think you believe the doctors, had it been a positive results, they would have called you for confirmation and further tests. HIV is not spread easily, it has certain well defined routes of transmission. If you were not exposed to unprotected anal or vaginal sex or not a drug addict, your risk is non exsistent and so your test will always be negative or "normal"
